Bad cinema

The interpretation of 'bad cinema' is very subjective. One persons opinion of what constitutes transgressive/bad cinema may well be another person's idea of 'good cinema'. As a father of two young girls, I am aware of the impact film can have upon an innocent and uncorrupted mind. The boundaries of film are so wide now that it is necessary to invigilate their content at all times. Sometimes it can be the most innocent of films that contain a transgressive nature. It is my opinion that any film containing violence in any shape or form, particularly that of a gratuitous nature or excessive nudity should be deemed transgressive. Film plays a big part in the culture of today's society, both good and bad, and should therefore be recognised for its omniscient influence.
